On Tuesday, September 19, Allies for Community Business launched the eighth cohort of the Neighborhood Entrepreneurship Lab (NEL), and we are excited to be one of the chosen small businesses!
It is a 3-months program from the 19th of September until November 17th, at The Hatchery, where we learn from experts in their fields. They also offer us 1-on-1 coaching sessions with a project advisor and strategist to help us apply the best growth strategies and stay on track with our goals. On top of that, we will be given a grant of $20,000 to employ new work-force, buy new inventory, and work on growth project within Heray Spice.
NEL was developed in partnership with The Chicago Community Trust and lead donor, Bob Crawford, to provide capital, coaching, and collaboration to entrepreneurs ready for growth. The program pairs small business owners with investors, advisors and strategists who provide intensive assistance as well as introductions to influential contacts within their personal networks.
